Donna Patrick Perley

Donna Patrick Perley, 69, of Orlando, passed away on December 22, 2023 in Orlando, FL.
She was born on June 27, 1954 to William and Marilyn (Campbell) Patrick in Seattle, WA.
Donna was a proud alumna of Goose Creek High School in Charleston, SC and Florida State University.
Donna worked as a Teacher for 35 years. Teaching for First Baptist Church of Pine Hills for 7 years after graduating with Honors from Florida State University. After teaching for First Baptist she moved to Toccoa, GA and taught for Toccoa Elementary School for 1 year. She then taught at Orange County Public Schools, at Bonneville Elementary, for 28 years before retiring.
On March 31, 1978, she married Maurice K. Perley, Jr. Donna and Maurice lived in Orlando, Florida and recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They share 4 daughters, who Donna loved dearly.
She was a member of Faith Assembly Church and sang in the choir for many years. Donna raised monarch butterflies in her garden for a great many years and shared their lifecycle with her students. She also enjoyed photography, gardening, the beach, playing piano, swimming, and being together with family.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Maurice; daughters, Marianne (Ralph) Leonard, Sarah (Kelly) Knight, Laura (Steven) Whitman, and Rebecca Perley; grandchildren, Andrew Leonard, Kaitlyn Leonard, Preston Leonard, Charles Knight, George Knight, Melody Whitman, Carolyn Whitman, and Elliot Whitman; mother, Marilyn Patrick; brothers, David Patrick, and James Patrick.
She was preceded in death by her father, William D. Patrick; and brothers, Michael Patrick, and Douglas Patrick.
Visitation will be held December 30, 2023 at 10:00am at Faith Assembly Church in the Chapel.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Carl Stephens, officiating.
A graveside interment will take place following funeral services at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, FL.
