Doreene Jenice Gaines

Doreene Jenice Gaines was born May 7th, 1964, in the Bronx, New York, daughter to parents Anthony Wilkerson and Joyce Wilkerson exhaled her final breath on December 10th , 2023 at 6:30 PM. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Doreene was formerly educated at Saint Angelis Merici School, Cathedral High School, and Mitchell College, New London CT. She worked in an administrative capacity for many years at Bristol-Meyers Squibb Company, and upon relocating to Florida Doreene continued her career in administration and transitioned into the dental industry at Elite Dentistry in Avalon Park, Florida.

Doreene was a devoted mother and loving wife who loved a good movie night, game night, the discovery of new places, new homes, long car rides, and swan boat rides at Lake Eola. She was the perfect host for the gathering and always ready to bust a move on the dance floor. Doreene always found the best in what she likes: the best pizza, the best wings, and Keke's for breakfast.

Doreene is survived by her devoted Husband -Gregory Kelvin Gaines, Children – James Anthony "Royce" Johnson, Camille Felicity Thompson, Alexis Michelle Catherine Thompson, Kara Michael Thompson, Sister - Bettina Antoinita "Poet Gold" Wilkerson, Brother - Henry Waverly "Poppy" Wilkerson, Mother - Joyce Dereene Wilkerson, Sister-in-Laws – Linda Tyler, Laurie Gaines, and Mrs. Renee Wilkerson among many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
