Doris Mccartney Hofma

Doris Rose McCartney Hofma, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2020.
Doris was born May 15, 1928 in Jacksonville, FL, the ninth of ten children of George and Rose Ganley McCartney. She grew up in Tallahassee, FL, graduating from Leon High School and attending Florida State College for Women.
She married Laurence "Lou" Hofma and eventually settled in the Orlando area where they raised their growing family. Doris was active in the public school system and also enjoyed sewing after the kids were grown.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lou. She is survived by her sons Edward Hofma (Elizabeth), John Hofma (Barbara), David Hofma (Linda); daughters Laura Hofma-Butrick and Carol Seigworth (Ray); grandchildren Beckie (Richard), Mathew (Kathy), Sarah, Matt (Shannon), Megan, Ryan, Madison, Spencer and Jack; great-grandchildren Michael, Charlotte, Alexa, Wyatt and Ellie.
A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, 988 Woodcock Road, Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32803.
