Doris Zimmerman Mount
April 22, 1923 — August 22, 2017
Doris was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on April 22, 1923 to Grady Lee Zimmerman, Sr. and Lena Mae Mundy. She passed away on August 22, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. She was a homemaker and later employed as the assistant manager of the Fine Jewelry department of the Belk-Lindsey Department Store in Orlando's Colonial Plaza.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Linda) and Kent (Cathy); granddaughters, Ginger LeClair (Scott), Brandy Gilliom (Micah), Nicole Mays, Molly Mays, Teresa Murphy; grandson, Gary Mays, Jr.; as well as her nephew, Dane Sebastain; nieces, Amanda Zimmerman and Carrie Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Grady Lee Zimmerman, Jr.; and her youngest son, Gary.
Doris was devoted to and served in many capacities in the churches that she attended. Her last church of membership was at the First Baptist Church of Chuluota, Florida.
Doris' family would like to thank those who have extended to them acts of kindness and love. Each gesture will be a part of their special memories during this time of their loss. They are especially grateful to Bill, Phyllis and Tori Jones for the wonderful care they gave Doris over the past seven years.
A Graveside service will be held at 9:30AM on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817.
