Dorothy Wright

January 28, 1936 — February 11, 2024

Dorothy Wright passed away on February 11, 2024 at the age of 88 to be with the Lord.

Dorothy is predeceased by her first husband Richard Wright, son Gregory Wright, and second husband Walter Leonhart.

Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her son Dave (Monica) Wright, daughter Joni (Robert) Walther, and daughter in law Cheri Wright. She has 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Dorothy was born in Huntington, WV on January 28, 1936. She graduated from Vinson High School where she was a proud majorette. After high school she went on to complete her licensing in hair styling. She worked at numerous beauty shops that then led her into a career at Disney World. At Disney, she was able to be a part of the parade styling crew and worked with all the many Disney characters we know and love today.

Above all, Dorothy loved Jesus! She was committed to church and her relationship with the Lord more than anything. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren lit up her entire world! She loved being a part everything they were involved in including, sporting events, plays, school events, and anything in between. She didn't miss a thing! Family game nights with cards or Bingo were a must when we were all together. She had a sweet tooth like no other, which led to her becoming a wonderful baker. When she wasn't buying sweets, she was making something delicious for everyone to enjoy. We will sure miss her southern charm and witty personality!
