Douglas F Duber, age 74, of Lake Mary, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home. Douglas was born on April 24, 1947 in Delaware, Ohio. Son of the late Dr. Anthony George and Roma C. (Avery) Duber. On October 20, 1973, he married the former Drema K. Maxey.
A graduate of St. Mary's High School class of 1965 and Franklin University class of 1969. Douglas was the owner of Duber Farms in Radnor, Ohio where he bred and trained standardbred horses. Douglas also taught Equine Science at Delaware Vocational School (JVS) for eight years before moving to Lake Mary, Florida where he was employed by H&D beverage then became manager and partial owner of HAAM Inc.
Douglas is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years Drema (Maxey) Duber, two daughters Diane Wagle (Bill) of Eagle Lake, FL. Debra Reese (Burt) of Lake Wylie, SC and a son Tony Duber (Allison) of Longwood, FL. Eight grandchildren Billy Wagle, Allison Wagle, Zachary Wagle, Kaylee Reese, Carson Reese, Dana Davidson, Declan Duber and Aria Duber; one great-grandchild, Reyna Wagle; and three sisters, Dr. Margaret Snyder and her husband Charles, of Marion, Ohio, Marie Sowa and her husband Dick, of Dundee, MI and Marita Haves and her husband Nick, of Lake Mary, FL and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother-in-law, Leona Maxey.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, FL.
Visitation with the family and friends will precede the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Lake Mary Cemetery, Lake Mary, FL.
