Dr. Charles "Charlie" E. Hallquist, age 74 of Lake Oswego, Oregon passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006 in Orlando, Florida. He was born to Emil Hallquist and Anna Wallin on July 21, 1931 in Amery, Wisconsin. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean War. Dr. Hallquist was known for his love of children, his warmth and humor. His personality was such that people loved to be around him. Perhaps the most gratifying point in his life was helping people change their quality of life for the better. Dr. Hallquist is survived by his wife Lori; his children Elaine Zakrzweski (Mark)of Washington; Greg Hallquist (Nazi) of California; Mark Hallquist (Cheryl) of Ohio; Joan Hallquist of Oregon; Tom Hallquist (Mary) of Oregon; his step-children Steve Bowen (Wendee); Susan Warner (Jason); and Scott Bowen (Kris). Dr. Hallquist is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; his brother Jim Halquist of Florida and Jean Rutledge of California. Dr. Hallquist's remains will be laid to rest in Oregon.
