Dr. R. Euliano

September 16, 1937 — November 28, 2023

Dr. Neil R. Euliano, 86, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on November 28, 2023. Neil was born on September 16, 1937, in Meadville, Pennsylvania to Bert and Ethel Euliano. Even as a young boy, Neil was a hard worker and a go-getter, starting his first job as a newspaper boy at the age of six. He joined the Army in 1955 and served in the 101st Airborne Division. After leaving the Army, Neil settled in Erie, Pennsylvania where he met and married his wife Carolyn (née Golanka). Together they raised a family of five children. Neil founded several successful businesses and developed a significant real estate portfolio in Pennsylvania. In 1977, Neil and his family relocated to Florida, choosing the Orlando area for their new home.

Neil's entrepreneurial spirit was always strong, and he continued his endeavors in Central Florida, establishing many important businesses and institutions, including Florida Technical College, Barry University of Orlando School of Law, and Southern Technical College. Neil also founded the Dr. Neil Euliano Endowed Chair in Italian Studies at the University of Central Florida. He is a recipient of the President's Award from UCF, one of the many awards and recognitions he received from organizations in the Orlando area.

Neil was also active in veterans' affairs, serving as chairman of the Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park Foundation and the president of the Central Florida Veterans Association, representing 400,000 veterans in a nine-county area. In this role, Neil was a driving force in establishing the Veterans Commemorative Site at the University of Central Florida and the Orlando Veterans Memorial Park near Lake Baldwin as well as the development of the new Veterans Administration Hospital at Lake Nona.

A brief obituary cannot capture the entirety of Neil's accomplishments and achievements throughout his active and meaningful 86-year life. One of Neil's great loves, besides his family and many friends, was his farm in Oviedo, Florida. Neil enjoyed the peace and natural beauty of the outdoors and spent his free time at "the farm" working on various projects and enjoying the company of his beloved rescue animals.

Neil's sense of humor, outgoing nature, and charming intelligence will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn; his brother, Burt Euliano; his five children, Elizabeth, Anne, Neil, John, and James; his eleven grandchildren, David, Thomas, Richard, Emily, Michael, Erin, Matthew, Catherine, John, Sarah, and Jenna; and one great grandchild, Cecilia. Neil was pre-deceased by his sister Dolores and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church at 575 Tuskawilla Road, Winter Springs, FL. The vigil (visitation) will be held in the chapel on December 19th from 6pm-8pm. A funeral mass will be held in the main church on December 20th at 10am.

Donations may be made to Seminole County Animal Services in Neil's memory.
