First Sergeant, Emil Paul Adkins, United States Army, Retired , 69, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013.
He was born on April 9, 1944 in White Lake, Wisconsin to Ira and Verna (DeHart) Adkins who have both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald P. Adkins, three brothers, Dearl, Elmer (Wilma) and
Richard(Linda) and 3 sisters Cletta, Minnie Jane, and Judith Ann (Marvin) Thomas.
Paul was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 4287 in Orlando, Florida and American Legion Post 0400 also in Orlando. He was of the Protestant Faith.
Paul is survived by his wife, Betty L.(Simpson) Adkins; son, Robert N. Adkins, step-daughter, Barbara J. Brooker, step-son, Brian K. Oswald, step-daughter, Brenda K. Shofner; 9 Grandchildren and, 2 Great Grandchildren; 2 brothers, James Marion (Carrie Mae)of Oak Hill, OH, and Rodger O.(Rita) of Springfield, OH and 4 sisters, Pearl Holbrook of Antigo, WI, Gertrude (Chester) Adkins and Helen Conley of Oak Hill, OH and Eleanor Marie (Nelson) Cottrill of Port Charlotte, FL.
