On June 30, 2021, Edgar Reid Cobb, father of 3, passed away at the age of 89 in Winter Park, FL. Edgar was born on October 22, 1931 in Burlington, NC where he attended Williams High School. He served for 4 years in the United States Coast Guard as a First Class Petty Officer. He went on to graduate from North Carolina State University with High Honors with a BS & MS in engineering. He retired from Martin Marietta in Orlando, FL as an Aerospace Engineer with over 35 years of experience as a missile propulsion specialist. He was an avid inshore salt-water game fisherman and was very passionate about fishing – especially for red fish. He was very active in the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida. He was married for over 60 years to his beautiful wife, Nan Young of Newnan, GA, and had 3 children – Grace, Ron, and Coy. He is survived by his daughter, Grace, and his son, Ron, four grandsons and 2 great grandsons, and his Corgi dog – Carlie.
