Edilberto de Borja Panggat, a Mechanical Engineer, passed unexpectedly to his rest on August 4, 2020 at the age of 72 in Orlando, FL.
Ed was born in Santa Cruz, Laguna, Philippines on the 24th of February 1948 to Serafin Panggat and Anita de Borja. He graduated college from Far Eastern University in 1969 and worked as an Assistant Superintendent at the University of the Philippines Physical Plant Office. On January 26, 1975, he married Aurita Quesea and together they have three children, Aurora, Edeluisa and Joselito. On January 28, 2020, Ed and Aurita celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows surrounded by their children and grandchildren.
Ed was an avid golfer and motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed his BMW Z3 for many years. He loved talking to people, sharing corny jokes and stories, and always made people laugh. No one was a stranger in his book. He would always engage in conversation with everyone.
Ed is survived by his wife Aurita Panggat (nee Quesea), his first daughter Aurora, son in-law Christopher, grandson's Christopher and Christian, second daughter Edeluisa, son in-law Darwin, grandson Antonio Serafin and son Joselito and granddaughter Arianna. He is predeceased by his parents Serafin and Anita Panggat and oldest brother Serafin Jr. He is survived by his sister Maria Luisa Hababag (Philippines), brothers - Rufo Panggat (Canada), Eduardo Panggat (California), and Jose Panggat (Philippines). He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, August 21st at 1:00pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida.
