Edison Hayes

Edison T. Hayes, age 88 of Gotha, FL passed away Sat. Dec. 3, 2005. Born in Belmont, GA, he and his wife, Annabelle moved to Central Florida in 1955. He owned and operated Hayes Trailer Sales in East Orlando for more than 30 years. He and his wife were members of the First Baptist Church of Orlando and later became charter members of the Downtown Baptist Church. He was a longtime member of Fellowship Sunday School class and served as Treasurer. He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army serving in World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Annabelle L. Hayes of Gotha; daughter, Annabelle L. Wood of Delray Beach, FL; son, Paul E. Hayes of Winter Garden, FL; daughter, Joan C. Jannar of Fern Park, FL; brothers, Dr. Horace Hayes of Dallas, TX, Rev. Hugh Hayes of Marysville, CA, James Hayes of Rex, GA and his sister, Doris Wimbish of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Paul, Bobby, Ryan, Natalie, Jordan and Charlie; great grandchildren, Garrett and Haylei.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at Downtown Baptist Church in the Chapel with Rev. Rocky Purvis and Mr. Ed Moses officiating.. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service.
