Edna Davis Madill, 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2010. She was born on June 8, 1936 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. After graduating from Zoar High School she worked for the F.B. I. and the National Security Agency in Washington, D.C. She was also a business woman and a Walt Disney World cast member from 1975 until her retirement in 2002. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Lila and P.M. Davis, sister Eloise Campbell, and youngest son Duane Madill. She is survived by her sons David Madill, and Douglas Madill, daughter Pamela Neal and grandchildren Abigail Neal, James Neal, Preston Madill and Amy Madill. Her determined and courageous spirit was balanced by her compassionate caring for family and friends. She had a love for animals and nature, and also enjoyed sewing, playing the piano and gardening. She was proudly rooted in traditional southern heritage and family values by way of her principled work ethic and selfless giving to those in need. Her worldly presence will be missed, but the love she shared and the lessons she taught will always be with us through her eternal spirit.
