Edward H. Di Bartolo

Edward DiBartolo was born in Pelham Bay New York. He resided in Lodi since 1948 and moved to Orlando, Florida in January 2022.

He married the love of his life, the former Frances Peraino, a retired high school teacher. They celebrated their 76th Wedding Anniversary in April 2024. They were the parents of two daughters, the late Francine Wojcik and husband, Alfred and Eileen LoRe and husband, the late Joseph LoRe. They have five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Edward was drafted during the Korean War and served two years in the army, 18 months in Group Headquarters Intelligence Section in Kaiserslautern Germany. He was named soldier of the month and awarded a trip to Berlin. He served six years in the reserve and was honorably discharged.

Edward was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and earned his BS degree in business management. He retired as President and CEO of Harris Marketing Systems Inc. doing advertising for publishers of scientific books, medical journals and genetic engineering news. He was Post Commander of the Lodi, New Jersey Veterans of Foreign Wars for post 5082 and served two terms. He was also Chairman of the Lodi New Jersey Memorial Day Parade for six years and also Co-Chairman for many years, he was the Veterans Liaison Officer to the Mayor of Lodi New Jersey during his term in office. He also served as first Vice President of the Lodi, New Jersey Senior Club, and organized many of their trips to various places. He has been in leadership positions for most of his life and enjoyed every moment of it.

He was a humble man who had a heart of gold and was loved so much by his family. He will be missed by of course his beautiful wife, my mother Frances. He will meet my sister again in Heaven and I’m sure he’ll be happy to reunite with her. We love you Dad with all our hearts, and you will be missed every moment of every day. We love you for a thousand years and for all eternity. Rest in peace Dad until we meet again …..
