Edward Murry Kennedy of Apopka passed away on December 24, 2021 at the age of 70.
He was born in Eustis, Florida on March 28, 1951 to Joe B. and Evelyn (Olgetree) Kennedy. Eddy was raised in the First Baptist Church of Eustis. He graduated with the Eustis High School class of 1969. He attended Lake Sumter Junior College, and the University of Florida; where he received a degree in the School of Journalism.
He worked in the mortgage business in Eustis and Orlando most of his adult life. In 1993, he met the love of his life, Jenna, and they were married on July 8, 1996.
Eddy loved his family, golf, and the Gators. He had a wonderful sense of humor and provided us all with love and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by and remembered dearly by his wife of 25 years, Jenna; his stepson Steven Wheeler of Apopka; his brother Joe Kennedy (Linda) of Grand Island; his sister Jane Bender (Ralph) of Maitland; nephews Matt Bender, Joe Bender, John Bender, Brett Parent (Peggy), and Ryan Parent (Elizabeth); as well as several great nephews and nieces.
Family and friends are invited for an informal celebration of his life on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 E State Road 434, Longwood.
The family will receive and visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. .
