Elaine Lobo, age 67, passed away on April 9, after a courageous battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia, a neurological disorder. She shared her life with her devoted and loving husband of 25 years, Jorge. She also leaves behind two sisters, many neices and nephews and her Bichon Frise, Coco.
Elaine was born in New York and was the original "Latin from Manhattan." She also lived in Bayshore, NY, Orient Point, NY, Wheaton, IL, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and most recently made her home in Orlando, FL.
Elaine had and amazing career which began with Arthur Anderson in San Juan, Puerto Rico and retired after 30+ years of service, at the pinnacle of her career with Accenture in 2004. Elaine's most recent responsibility was Director of Global Travel. She was a true leader and a consummate professional, having the utmost character and integrity. As a female executive, she served as a mentor and paved the way for the many women executives that followed in her footsteps.
Elaine's career took her across the globe to many beautiful and exotic places. In her journey's, she met many people who became life long friends. Her elegance was obvious in all aspects of her life-from her appearance, to her gardens, to her wonderful hosting at dinner.
Elaine was a very passionate, caring person and had a zest for living life to the fullest. Her smile and her charisma lit up a room wherever she was. She touched the lives of so many individuals and will be truly missed by all her friends and family.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM-9:00PM Tuesday, April 13 at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, April 14 at at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
