Elaine J. Sheridan of Orlando FL passed away on June 17, 2022
Elaine has been survived by her two brothers Tommy and Kenny (Pam) Porter, along with her 3 kids Bobby (Lynn), Brenda (Dan) and Debbie, 5 grandchildren, Michael (Sophie), Robby (Trish), Kristin (Ryder), Kari (Nick) and Katelyn as well as her 9 great grandchildren Kylee, Kennedy, Bobby, Sunny, Avery, Nash, Haskell, Kara, and Sevi.
Born in Lowell MA. on April 6, 1936, was raised in Billerica until marrying Robert L. Sheridan who became a proud Marine in the USMC. Elaine moved with Rob to North Carolina when he was stationed in both Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point. While growing up in Havelock NC, she worked a few different jobs which allowed her to spend her time raising her three kids. She was an Avon Representative and was a bus monitor for Annunciation while also working for Fairfield Harbor.
In 1976, our family moved to Orlando where Mom and Dad chose to retire where he worked for the city and Elaine eventually purchased and owned Mail Call Etc. for 27 years in the Conway area of Orlando. She enjoyed her time owning Mail Call mostly for the friendships developed and the opportunity to serve her neighborhood.
Elaine loved to travel and enjoyed day trips as well, she had an eye for the beauty of God's creation and those who lived in it.
Mom loved her family and has left strict instructions as a family to stay close and together. Her goal was to see her 5 grandkids grow but little did she know she would be able to make it through 9 great grandkids…I think she said one day, enough is enough…lol
Mom had her strengths of sharing love, insight, and truth but little did we know just how much of a fighter she was until her last days. She always had an ear for whoever needed one, she was always there to listen and help.
Mom will be missed by many and will forever be in our hearts. She was a great wife, mom, grandmother and friend, we love you and will miss you!
