Elaine Short, born January 4th, 1935, has passed away at the age of 89 on June 21, 2024, in Longwood, FL. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time Jesus called her home. Elaine was a daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandmom and a great-grandmom (GG).
She leaves behind two daughters, Linda Gibson and Sandra Worthen; two sons, Charles Schenck and William Cameron. Elaine also has 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Elaine was preceded in death by her Mother Helen Figueiredo, Husband Bernard Short, two brothers Bruce Washburn and Joe Washburn.
Elaine became a resident of Sebring, FL. in the 1970’s. Elaine worked at the Sebring Airport Electric Car Company, Commuter Vehicles. Elaine was also a volunteer for Good Shepard Hospice for 25 years. Elaine was also a member of the AACA Antique Automobile Club of America. Elaine was also a Founding Member of Emmanuel Church of Christ, then found her way to servicing the Lord at Sebring Christian Christ.
