Eleanor Langston Farabee, 91, of Orlando passed away peacefully June 20, 2015, in Auburndale. She was born June 1, 1924, in Starkville, MS, to Jim and Lena Langston. She married Lloyd Farabee in Starkville, MS on May 27, 1950.
She was a graduate of Blue Mountain College and Rollins College. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Orlando, and previously of Delaney Street Baptist Church. She was active in church choir, in the Florida Trail Association, and Central Florida Genealogy Society. She was a reading instructor specializing in English as a Second Language. She enjoyed traveling and camping.
She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, David Farabee; her parents, a sister, and a brother. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Denham, Janet (Michael) Sordan, daughter-in-law Corry Farabee, seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, two great-granddaughters and her twin brother James Langston.
Visitation Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 10:00, service following at 11:00, Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822.
Interment took place at Greenwood Cemetery.
