Eleanor V. Welker

Eleanor died suddenly on January 18, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. Born in Jamaica, Queens New York on March 3, 1941. The daughter of Charles and Eleanor Goetz, Eleanor was a lifelong dancer. She took pride in auditioning and dancing for the New York City Rockettes. She danced her way through the hearts of everyone she met.
While dancing was her passion, she also enjoyed knitting afghan blankets for family and friends. No one was ever a stranger to her and she proudly declared her Rockette affiliation to anyone gracious enough to listen.
Eleanor had a passion and love for so many activities but most of all was her love for her husband James and her family. Eleanor and James' (Jim) love story began 65 years ago. Together they had three children, Roni, Susan and Keith. She was a proud grandmother to Lee Anne, Michael, Matthew, Rebecca and Ryan. She was also a great grandmother to Mason and favorite son in law Mike. She is also survived by her brother, Charles and sister-in-law Janet, as well as nieces and nephews, Wendy, Cathy, Richard, Robert, Joseph and Tucker.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida, 32822. Mass service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following the service, a celebration of Ellie's life will be held at Ventura Country Club, 3333 Woodgate Boulevard, Orlando, Florida, 32822.
