Elena Gonzalez

Elena Gonzalez, age 76, of Winter Park, FL was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by family.

Elena was born on September 8, 1944 in Caguas, PR, daughter to the late Martin Estrada and Gloria Correa.

Elena had touched so many people in her life and made it very memorable. Her gentle smile brought so much joy to our family. She gave us all such courage and hope. Elena reminded us of the preciousness of life. She enjoyed music and being with her family more than anything. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. Elena treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandma. She made friends everywhere she went.

Elena is survived by her four sons, Ricardo Gonzalez of Winter Park, Orlando Gonzalez of Orlando, David Gonzalez and his wife, Alicel, of Winter Park, and Alfredo Gonzalez of the Bronx, NY; her daughter, Gloria Gonzalez of the Bronx, NY; fourteen grandchildren, Jasmine Gonzalez, David "Tito" Gonzalez, Jr., Desiree Poitier, Brooke Gonzalez, Louis Soto, Nycole Gonzalez, Shayla Gonzalez, Jose Ramos, Romeo Ramos, Matthew Zavala, Alfredo Gonzalez, Jr., Aaron Gonzalez, Amberlyn Rosario, and Michael Huertas; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Domingo Estrada, and Papo Estrada; and a sister, Gloria Estrada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Gonzalez; and a brother, Jose Estrada.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Winter Park Chapel, 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, FL with Deacon Wilmer Rojas officiating.

Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Queen of Angels Cemetery, 1901 Queen of Angels Drive, Winter Park, Florida 32792.
