Elio Hidalgo, age 40, of Orlando, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 25, 2020.
Elio was born April 6, 1980, on Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. He was the son of Mario and Pura Hidalgo. He became engaged to his best friend and soulmate, Kortney, on October 12, 2020. Elio was a truly gifted, self-taught carpenter and tradesman whose passion could be seen by everyone around him. Elio was determined to achieve anything he set his mind to and applied his self-taught skills to his daily life. Elio enjoyed football (NFL & College), NASCAR, and F1 Racing. Elio was a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins (NFL), Dale Jarrett & Martin Truex, Jr. (NASCAR), and Max Verstappen (F1). Elio will always be known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and hearty laughter. Elio's presence made the world a better place and when the sun rises everyday, it is going to be missing a ray of sunshine.
He is survived by his fiancé, Kortney; his mother, Pura Hidalgo; father, Mario Hidalgo; brother, Lorenzo Hidalgo; sister-in-law, Yolanda Hidalgo; nephew, Evan Hidalgo; niece, Chloe Hidalgo; aunts, Marta, Sharon, and Patty; uncle, Tommy; cousins, Brandan and Monica.
A Celebration of Life for immediate family was held on January 2, 2021.
