Elivette Marie Centeno Escudero

December 7, 1990 — December 24, 2022

December 7th, 1990 – December 24th, 2022

Elivette Marie Centeno Escudero, 32, passed away December 24th, 2022. She was born in Bayamon Puerto Rico to a beautiful mother Sonia Escudero and father Eluid Centeno.

Elivette was 11 months old when the little family of 3 moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where her parents welcomed a 4th family member, her sister, Yolyvette Centeno. After her first birthday, the family returned to Puerto Rico and spent the next five years, attending kindergarten in Puerto Rico, before returning to Florida. Sometime later, Elivette grew up in Orlando, Florida. Her mother Sonia gifted her with the blessing of a little brother, Edward Perez, and father Eduardo Perez, who was also Elivette's father. Finally, Elivette was blessed with a little sister named Serenity Escudero. She was known by her nickname of "Ellie" to extended family and known only as "El" to her siblings, Yolyvette and Edward, as well as her father Eduardo. Her sister, Yolyvette, gave Ellie the ultimate blessing of being an aunt to Sabella.

Ellie was such a light in the lives of those that were blessed to meet her. She had a heart of gold and could make anyone feel welcomed. She was a loving and forgiving person and would not hold a grudge against anyone. She was the life of the party making sure that everyone was having a good time and that they were enjoying themselves. When she retreated and wanted her alone time, we would find her watching her favorite shows such as Outlander, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Game of Thrones, and the Flash, to name a few. You could always tell what mood she was in based on her choice of music at the time. When she was feeling a little uneasy emotion, she would listen to cheesy musical music. When she felt longing and needed encouragement, she would listen to country music. Worship music helped her through tough moments. When she needed a pep in her step and a boost, she would listen to pop music specifically Miley Cyrus. Ellie loved to listen to "Loved by You" by Kirby to help her love herself when the days seemed long. She also loved to listen to Lunay. She carried around with her her bag of everything and anything you needed. From a book, to medicine, to chapstick, she had it all. She loved to read books and write in her journal even loved to write poetry. She had a love for vampires and if she could have had it her way, she would have been a vampire. If the family had a personal photographer that person was Ellie. She was always taking pictures with everyone or of everyone to be able to go back and recount the countless of great times she had. She would take the time to just listen to those that needed a shoulder and would give them the best advice that she could. She was family oriented and loved to spend time every weekend with her family. Her mom, Sonia, and her had a very close relationship. Ellie even devoted her time to volunteer for the blind with the organization "Be My Eyes."

Ellie had her beloved cat, Garfield, who she loved as if he was her child. She did, however, have a cat allergy, but that did not stop Ellie from loving on Garfield. She loved how talkative Garfield was and how he would always cuddle up with her during the night. There was countless nights Ellie would say Garfield would wake her up in the middle of the morning with his meowing. Garfield held a very special place in Ellie's heart, and she could talk about him for hours.

Ellie had a love and undeniable faith for God. Ellie had a scripture for every moment in life whether it was good or bad. She would always tell everyone "Tenga Fe (have faith)" because she knew and strongly believed that no matter what, God would work everything out for the good of the person. She loved to worship and sing to the Lord and thank Him for all He had done in her life and how far He had gotten her. She had the gift of speaking in tongues and was a prayer warrior. You could always find Ellie thanking God and praying for her family, her friends, and those around her that she knew needed the help of the Lord.

Although Ellie is no longer here physically with us, she will always be carried in our hearts. She left us something that no one can take from any of her family, friends, and lives she touched and those are the memories that each person got to share with her. She will truly be missed, and life will not be the same without her, but we know she is resting peacefully and is with her Lord and Savior. She is safely with him. Until we meet again, we love you, Ellie.
