Elizabeth Davis

Davis, Elizabeth "Betty"- 80, of Orlando passed away Friday, August 21, 2009. Betty was born in Carlstadt, NJ. Betty began her career in the insurance business when she was 17. She served as President of The Insurance Women of South Dade and was an Adult Education teacher for many years at Miami High. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Mielcarek (David) of Orlando, her granddaughters, Dawn Dorris (Tony) of Maitland and Rachel Smith (Darin) of Pt. St. Lucie, 2 great-grandchildren, Matthew and Emma Dorris, her sister, Rae McBride of Anderson, SC and brother, Edward Voelkel of Ft. Collins, CO and her caregiver Jerry. Predeceased by her brother Gus. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2009 at College Park Baptist Church, 1914 Edgewater Dr., Orlando, FL 32804. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Memorial Fund of College Park Baptist Church.
