Elizabeth Hood

Hood, Elizabeth "Betty", age 87 of Orlando, passed away on Saturday March 31, 2007. She was born to Frank and Laura Ewen on October 5, 1919 in Des Moines, IA. She grew up in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Olney High School and Drexel University. She was a legal secretary for many years and was co-founder of Marlando Club. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Roland E. Hood, Jr. and by her sister Margaret Ewen. She is survived by her children Debbie Routh of Orlando, David Hood (Marylou) of Sarasota, Melanie Anderson (Bruce) of Benton, PA, and Robert C. Hood (Kim) of Asbury, NJ; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her brother John Ewen (Carol) of Vinalhaven, ME, and sister Nancy Fording (Norman) of Ogunquit, ME. A memorial service celebrating Betty's life will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday April 3, 2007 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, East Orlando.
