Elizabeth Pagan Velez, age 83, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Advent Health, Winter Park Hospital.
She was born on May 13, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. Elizabeth was a devout Christian her entire life and attended church every Sunday. She had a love for animals and consistently made donations to ASPCA and WWF. She enjoyed going to the theme parks in her free time with the family. She was always happy and made friends with all her neighbors. She adored our family schnauzer Elliot and loved walking him when her health was better. She was a beautiful person and enjoyed volunteering with Nathaniel's Hope in her earlier years to help kids with disabilities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Charles Pagan, and mother, Frances Pagan, and son, James C. Garcia.
Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters; Cherina Velez, and Francine Garcia-Gomez and her husband, Richard Ascot; four grandchildren; Gabriella, Maria Theresa Adorno, Cristina Marie Cintron, and Jamie Garcia; seven great-grandchildren, Destiny Adorno, Danielle Cintron, Eliajah Adorno, Ariel Adorno, William Cintron, Amira Mason, and Spencer Cabral; and two great great-grandchildren, Armani Beacham and Jayden Perez.
Funeral Services are Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Winter Park Chapel, 3806 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, Florida 32792 with Pastor Tom Hensley officiating.
Visitation with the family will precede the service on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the
ASPCA.
Interment will take place immediately following the service at Taft Memorial Cemetery, Orlando, Florida.
