In Loving Memory of
Ellen Mae Hutchinson
1939 - 2018
Ellen Mae Hutchinson, age 79, received the present of God on December 13, 2018. God kissed her on the forehead and carried her soul to His heavenly kingdom. Ellen was born on July 21, 1939 in Leomister, Massachusetts to Wilfred and Patricia Lachapelle. She is predeceased by her parents.
A wonderful and extraordinary mother, Ellen was a family maker. Her warm and welcoming heart extended her family each day to everyone she met.
After spending three wonderful years with her family at the U.S. Navy base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, she and her husband, now a retired Marine captain, decided that the warm weather of the sun-and-fun Sunshine State would be a wonderful place to retire and raise their loving children.
In her career she worked at headquarters for the Marine Corps in Quantio, VA. She loved this country and was a die hard patriot.
She was talented in many pursuits: sewing, stitching, quilting, gardening and was a marvelous cook. Ellen enjoyed card and board games and played with family and friends regularly.
Most important to Ellen was her strong faith in God and the belief that with God's help, any adversity would be handled with a good outcome. During many times of duress, her faith saw her through. She was committed to her family. With her enduring faith, she knew that through the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, she would be reunited with her family.
Ellen is survived by her husband Hutch Hutchinson, Winter Park, FL; daughter Marie Horwath, Jacksonville, FL, son Eric Hutchinson, Winter Park, FL; step-daughter Fonda Campbell, Gay, GA, step-daughter Ronda Flowers, Cairo, GA and her loving grandson, Jackson Collis Hutchinson, Winter Park, FL.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5300 Old Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, FL 32792 on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM. All are welcome.
