Elsa Leon

It is with great sadness that the family of Elsa San Juan - Leon announce her passing on August 17, 2020 at the age of 85.

Elsa will be remembered by her husband, Caridad 'Panchon' Leon; and her loving family, daughter Jaqueline Leon-Gonzalez, son-in-law Carlos Gonzalez; son Frank Leon; grandchildren Jeanette Henriquez-Berry (and husband Jimmy Berry), Deanne Henriquez (and fiancé Bobby Roble) and Adan Henriquez; great grandchildren Dylan and Gwen Berry; siblings Selma Barrios, Solo San Juan, Silvia Vazquez and Soledad San Juan.

Elsa was born on September 2, 1934 in Santa Lucia, Pinar del Rio, Cuba to parents Sabino San Juan and Maria Dolores San Juan-Rivadulla . She fled Cuba in the 1960's, alongside her husband Panchon, and together they built a life for their family in Elizabeth, NJ; and later in Orlando Florida where she worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years.

Elsa was predeceased by her parents, sister Sonia San Juan, and brothers Eduardo, Sabino II, Edmundo, and Estanislao San Juan.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando 32822.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 22 from 3 pm to 6 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando.
