It is with great sadness that the family of Elvis Rujevic, age 39, of Winter Park, FL announce he passed peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
He was born on July 9, 1981 and was the eldest of three sons born to Niad Rujevic and Jasmina Isovic Rujevic in Sjenica, Serbia. He is survived by his parents, along with his brothers Vakey Rujevic and Senol Rujevic.
He was named after one of his father's favorite singers, Elvis Presley. They enjoyed listening to his music in Europe.
He was 11 years old when his family moved to Dusseldorf, Germany where his father had been working. He loved playing soccer in middle school there. His family came to the USA in 1997 where his first home was in Overland Park, Kansas. The family then moved to Orlando, FL. Elvis was proud to become a USA citizen. He was fluent in three languages.
He graduated from Edgewater High School, Orlando, FL in 2000.
Elvis worked with his family businesses many years including helping open their Italian Ristorante & Pizzeria where he was an assistant manager and loved to make pizzas and Stromboli and talk with the customers.
He always had a warm heart and giving spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his many uncles, aunts, and cousins in Europe.
The family offers their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at Advent Health Hospice of the Comforter and Advent Health Orlando and Winter Park Hospitals for their support and comfort.
Private services will be held by the family.
