Enid Eubanks passed away at Lake Mary Health Center on Friday the 10th of May 2019. She was born in the Darliston on the island of Jamaica on January 16, 1934. Enid was the first of six siblings who were born to the parents of Leaton and Loretta Hall. She graduated from Paul Island Government School and went on to get her culinary degree at House Craft Training Center in Kingston, Jamaica.
Ms. Eubanks came to the United States in 1984 and resided in New York with her sister Cordelia Martin. She later moved to Florida where she got her CNA and HHA certificates. She worked in several facilities and did private duty in individual homes. Enid was a loving care giver who formed lasting attachments with her patients.
After retiring from the nursing field, Enid secured a job as a crossing guard with the Seminole Sheriff's Department from which she retired in 2010.
Sister Eubanks, as she was called by her church family, was a devoted member of Hickory Church of God in Sanford, Florida.
Enid found humor in everything. She would just laugh her heart out especially if it had anything to do with her childhood days or animals and their antics. She bought peanuts just to feed the squirrels and would put food by her door for stray animals. She even got sick one winter because she went out in the cold to feed stray cats.
Ms. Eubanks left behind sisters; Bernie Small, Cordelia Martin, Evadne McField, brother, Ransford Hall, sister-in-law, Beryl Hall, nieces; Joan McGhee, Paulette Martin, Natalie Casey (Walters), Karlene Whyles, Marcia Blake, Sharon Atkinson, Lois Hall, Sharon Allen, Arlene Keese, and Rosetta Allen; nephews Adrian Stoney, Christopher McField, Mark Hall, Dale Martin, Keith Whyteley, Richard Martin and Paul Allen. Also left behind are a host of grandnieces and nephews.
Enid will surely be missed by family members and friends. She is in the arms of the Lord where she will suffer no more.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, Florida. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM.
