Enid Gonzalez, age 72, of Orlando FL, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020, at the Advent Health Hospital Orlando, to be with our Lord and Savior.
Enid was born on June 3, 1948, in Utuado, Puerto Rico; daughter of the late Jose and Marciala Gonzalez. She resided in Trenton, NJ where she raised her 3 children along with their father Edelmiro Gonzalez Sr. Enid worked as a line supervisor in the automotive industry for General Motors. She also lived in Linden, TN where she completed her time with General Motors at the Saturn Plant, before retirement.
Enid was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved her family; however, she adored her grandchildren, or her 8 angels as she always called them. Her angels - Nina, Tre, Victoria, Gabi, Madi, Lexi, Eric & Anthony, could do no wrong. She loved them immensely and was extremely proud of each of them. Mom mom as she was referred to, was an angel herself. She touched so many lives, in so many different ways, that she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her Yorkie, Mr. Boots was by her side for 15 years and brought her years of joy. She enjoyed her "novelas" and listening to many different types of music.
Enid is survived by her three children. Edelmiro Gonzalez Jr.(Diana), Evelyn Gonzalez, and Erica E. Rios (Rey), all of Orlando, Fl. Her eight angels, Sabrina Rios, Edelmiro (Tre) Gonzalez, Victoria Berrios, Gabrielle Berrios, Madison Rios, Alexis Gonzalez, Eric Rios, and Anthony Rios. She is also survived by her sisters, Minerva Morales of Hainesport, NJ, and Myrta Finley of Poinciana, Fl; her brothers, Jose Gonzalez of Ocala, Fl., Arnold Gonzalez of Puerto Rico, Hansel Gonzalez, of Bordentown, NJ, and Lester Gonzalez of Murfreesboro, TN.
Enid was predeceased by her parents, Jose & Marciala, her sister Olga Perez, and her brother Antonio Gonzalez.
Enid will be honored by her family at a memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Chapel on Goldenrod Rd, beginning with a gathering at 10 AM and a memorial at 11 AM on July 16, 2020. With COVID-19 restrictions the chapel has to limit the number of occupants to 50 persons. We welcome you all to come and gather with us during the 10 AM - 11 AM hour but we will have to restrict the number of persons in the chapel for the actual memorial to 50, so this means that we may have to say goodbye to some friends as we begin the memorial. But please know that we love you all and happily look forward to sharing with you in the memory of our Enid.
