It is with unimaginable grief that we announce the passing of Eric Martin Willis.
Eric was the beloved son of Charles and Patricia Willis, a faithful and trusted twin brother to Erin Carr, and a devoted and loving father to Aleah and Mallory Willis.
If you knew Eric at all, you would know that he loved his family more than life itself and he loved his friends. Eric was a kind and generous man with a giant heart. Everyone who knew Eric couldn't help but love him. His smile was infectious and his ability to draw you in with his sincerity is what stood Eric apart from the crowd. Eric was also passionate and wise and there was nothing that Eric wouldn't do for you if he could. But if you knew Eric, you already knew this.
Eric was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back and think nothing of it. Eric was, if nothing else, loving and loved by all who knew him-which makes his passing even more heartbreaking for those of us who knew and loved him.
Eric was a mechanic by trade, but there was so much more to him. Eric loved to cook and would make fantastic dinners for his family, often cooking for holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Eric would often make meatloaf, lasagna and pizza for his family simply because he loved to cook, and share. Eric was thoughtful and selfless that way.
So it is with a completely broken heart that we say we love you, Eric. You will forever be in our hearts. This world did not deserve you and has become less beautiful without you in it. We will try to find our way without you here to help guide us until we can be reunited. Please keep Dad company and take care of each other until we can all be together again.
I once read somewhere "All you can take with you is that which you've given away." So in that vain, take with you on your journey all the love and kindness you've given to us.
We love you, Eric.
