Erna "Oma" Parker, age 91, of Orlando, Florida, went home to be with Jesus on August 26, 2023.
She was born in Nuremberg, Germany to Georg and Babette Turbanisch on April 29, 1932. She married her late husband, Robert R. Parker, Sr., and became a military wife. Her family was the center of her world and loving and encouraging them was her greatest joy.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert R. Parker Sr., her son, Robert R. Parker, Jr., sister Traudel Holnsteiner, and sister in-law Gitta Merkel.
She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Linda and Harold East, her sister in-law Donna McComas (Irvin), her bother Udo Merkel, brother in-law Horst Holnsteiner, her niece Jutta Hofki (Tomas) Mc her grandchildren Gina Myers (John), Tara Fussell (James), Kristen Mokwa (Matt), and Austin Parker. Her great-grandchildren Daniel, Jackson, Juliet, Jade, Jett, Parker, Wren, and Reese.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 12:30 pm at Dover Shores Baptist Church. 551 Gaston Foster Rd, Orlando, FL 32807.
Visitation will precede the service on September 2, 2023 at 11:30 am.
Internment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
