Ernest David Holland

Holland, Dave- Age 70, of Orlando, went to be with the Lord in heaven on January 7, 2006 at 3:00 PM. Born in Rhine, GA to Robert and Nellie Holland. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, Macon, GA. He was a great basketball player in high school. In 1973, Inland Container transferred him to Orlando where he retired after 40 years of service. He always loved the Atlanta Braves and rarely missed a game on T.V. He managed the Pirates at Union Park Little League. He was a great man and will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Virginia & Elither, brothers, J.C. & R.C.. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alice; children, David (& Rhonda Holland), Cindy (& Jim LaPorta), Angie (& Dean Eaton) and Daison; sisters, Willie Lou, Nannie Rosa, Anna & Robbie; brother, Samuel (Buddy); 5 grandchildren, Michael, Carl, Brittany, Brandy, Jason, & 1 great-grandson, Nicholas; many cousins, nieces & nephews & friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando.
