Ernestine Wamble Richardson, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 23, 2017. She is reunited with her husband, Bill, who has been waiting for her to join him since March of this year. They were married for 71 years.
She was born in Esto, FL on September 25, 1924. She graduated from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL in 1942, where she was crowned homecoming queen her senior year. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill, after his service in World War II.
She loved her family and made them her career in the way she always nurtured, prepared delicious food, disciplined, shared her love for Jesus, made church attendance and involvement a priority (she taught preschool Sunday School for over 30 years), ran the household and all its demands with smooth order and genuinely cared for her husband and children.
Ernestine is survived by her three children, R. Martin (Jill) Richardson (Port Orange, FL), Candy (Pat) Huau (Peachtree City, GA), W. Scott (Dianne) Richardson (Winter Springs, FL); six grandchildren, Hollie
Locklear, Andrew (Julie) Huau, Crystal Huau, Sean (Melissa) Richardson, Katie (Mike) Moore, and Travis Richardson; 8 great grandchildren, Forrest Locklear, Wesley Dodgen, Katie Dodgen, Cooper Huau, Holden Huau, William Huau, Ava Huau, and Caleb Moore.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William (Bill) H. Richardson, her mother, Katrina Lloyd Wamble, her father, Ernest O. Wamble, and brother, R. Lowell Wamble.
A Celebraton of Life service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 2-4 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 East State Rd.434, Longwood, FL 32750
