On Monday, February 12, 2007 Eufemio Maldonado went to his eternal rest, at the age of 80.
He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on April 20, 1926 to Felicidad Encarnacion and Manuel Maldonado.
He was a retired employee of the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus in where he worked for 28 years. He loved his family very much and enjoyed to be accompanied by his grandchildren. Eufemio was known as being, a great dancer, a dominoes player and a person with a great sense of humor. His passion was music. He will be missed tremendously by all who shared special moments with him.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Lydia Lebron, his son Manuel Maldonado (Noly), his daughters Limarys Maldonado-Rivera, and Gisela Maldonado; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and his brother Ramon Encarnacion and sister Elsie Encarnacion.
Special thanks to the staff at Avante Nursing Home, in Saint Cloud, Florida for the compassioned and care given to our father for the past 7 months. Also special thanks to the Team #196 of Vitas Hospice for their comfort and support. We don't know what would happen without the support of you all.
