Gene enjoyed fishing year-round, bow and arrow, hunting, gardening, landscaping, and was great with weather predictions.
Gene assisted his Mother in caring for his Dad with Alzheimer's for many years, and he cared for his Mom the last few years before they moved to Orlando, Florida to live with his sister, Marcia.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank G. and Martha M. Gruca. He is survived and loved by his brother, Dr. Paul Gruca (Patricia), sister, Marcia Moncrieff, seven nieces and nephews Julie Dolloff (Barry), Robert Gruca (Melissa), Lisa Wright (Bryan), Christine Schaefer (Dr. Andrew), Dr. Kathy Gruca (Ryan), Tom Gruca, Dr. Michael Moncrieff, and 13 great-nieces and nephews.
