Eva Bruske
August 3, 1924 – March 10, 2021
Bruske, Eva, age 96 previously of Eastpointe, Michigan and residing in Orlando, Florida quietly passed in her sleep March 10, 2021 after being in and out of the hospital then in long-term care since December 2020. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Edmund Bruske.
She will be missed by her daughters, Judy Bruske York (Douglas) of Orlando, Florida and Edith Bruske of Richmond, Michigan. As well as her Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren, Douglas York II (Paula), Lily & Allen, Melanie York Miller (Robert Jr.), Robert III & Amaryllis, predeceased by Benjamin York (Karen).
Born in Timmins, Ontario in 1924. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, although she was great at both she preferred crocheting the most. Over the years, she made numerous afghans and baby afghans making sure all family members had their special colors and patterns. She also took pride in winning multiple blue ribbons at the Michigan State Fair. Another pride and joy was her vast collections of plates, cups/saucers and tea pots. Her favorite items though were her "Eagles".
She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly going to numerous plays, recitals and sports events they participated in over the years.
Special thanks to the team of caregivers at The Bridge of Orlando and Life Care Center of Orlando who took very good care of our mother during her stay.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Michigan to which she will join her husband Edmund at the Resurrection Cemetery in the Mausoleum of Angels.
