Evaristo Soto-Gomez

Evaristo Soto-Gomez, age 85 of Orlando, passed way on Monday June 19, 2006. He was born in to Fernando Soto and Wencesla Gomez in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on October 26, 1920. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife Paula in 2004. He is survived by his son Evaristo "Ed" Soto, Jr.; his daughter Maria Montalvo; his brother Thomas Soto; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM-9:00PM on Thursday June 22, 2006 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, East Orlando. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00AM on Friday June 23, 2006 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Orlando. Interment with military honors by the Sumter County Volunteer Honor Guard will follow at 2:00PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
