Her parents, Jose Burgos and Carmen Rios de Burgos, precede her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Gilberto Colon; her children, Ashlee Colon-Suarez and Jeremiah Colon; her granddaughter, Avalyn Suarez; her siblings, Junior Burgos, Angel Burgos, Tony Burgos, Tito Burgos, Eddie Burgos, Diana Maldonado, Willie Burgos, Alicia Burgos, Carlos Burgos, Jose Burgos, Raul Burgos, Ana Mercado, and Elba Rodriguez.

Evelyn was my first and only true Love. Her response was always "I LOVE YOU MORE" to those who said "I love you." Rest peacefully, my wife. Until we see each other again. I LOVE YOU MORE, MY EVELYN.
A memorial service will be held on December 22, 2018 from 11:00am-2:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions located at 895 S. Goldenrod Road in Orlando.
