It is with heavy hearts that we announce Faye B. Wilhelm, age 98, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
She was the youngest of 10 children, and went on to have 10 children herself as well as raising some others along the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald H. Wilhelm, son, Hardie B. Stanek, daughter, Suzanne Logue, son, Mitch D. Wilhelm, daughter, Candace M. Tidwell, and son, Joel S. Wilhelm and parents, Joseph F. Brown and Mary F. Brown.
She is survived by her son, Gerald J. Wilhelm, daughter, Sharon M. Oxford, son, Dennis P. Wilhelm, son, Jon C. Wilhelm, son, Kevin E. Wilhelm, daughter, Marie C. Wilhelm, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
"Mrs. Wilhelm" was well known to many kids when her own children were in school and when she worked in the school system. Everyone knew they could go to her for help and a safe place if they needed it. Faye is affectionately known as Grandma to not only her own grandchildren and great grandchildren, but also to their friends, because she made everyone feel like family. She had a warm smile and a very welcoming disposition. She was strong, smart, independent, stubborn, and a generally amazing person. Losing her has made the world a little less beautiful.
Visitation is Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with funeral service starting at 2pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (Winter Park Chapel).
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
