Felix Reyes Jr, age 65, of Ocala, Florida, passed away Tuesday evening, April 23rd, 2014, in his home in Ocala. He was born June 23, 1948, in Catano, Puerto Rico, to Carmen Tomasa Verdejo and Felix Reyes Sr (both deceased).
Felix lived most of his life in New York City, and in 1990 moved permanently to Florida for an amazing job opportunity, and to enjoy the sunshine, palm trees, and fishing.
Felix will be remembered for his love of life, people and his Family. He had a passion for helping others, which eventually resulted in him working for Daytop that led him to work at The Phoenix House where he worked with the youth to get them on the right path to a long healthy and positive life.
Felix loved visiting new places and experiencing all cultures, he loved his Family more then they could ever know. He was Santa Clause, The Easter Bunny, The Cuco & Papi to Blake and Kayo.
Felix was the Greatest Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, & Co worker anyone could ever ask for. He never wanted anyone to feel pain or sadness, he made jokes all the time to cheer up anyone he was around. He could light up any room and make everyone smile.
Felix is survived by his Niece Lorraine Rivera and her Husband Tony of New York.
and Grand Niece Fallon, Grand Nephews Nicholas & Blake, and his Great-Grand Nephew Kayo, of New York, Brothers & Sister of Florida, Marcos Reyes Verdejo, Arnold Reyes Verdejo, Santa (Reyes Verdejo) Gonzalez, Angel Rafael Reyes Verdejo, Wife Ada, Nephew Dionny Gonzalez, Wife Francis, Grand Nephew Dionny Jr, Grand Niece's Raven, Lexie, & Victoria, of Florida, Chereece his girlfriend of 16 years; she was his brain, his bestfriend, his confidant, and the love of his life.
Felix(tio) you will be missed & forever remembered. WE LOVE YOU!
A celebration of Felix's life will be held on Thursday, May 1 at 5:00PM to 9:00PM with a funeral service at 7:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando.
