Fernando Bobbio born in Trujillo, Peru on May 19, 1937; he departed our world at the age of 85 on September 4, 2022, in Central Florida.
Fernando met the love of his life in Lima, Peru and was married for over 58 years. While he was born in Peru, he emigrated to the United States and lived in New York City for over 50 years. He worked many jobs to fulfill his dreams. He had a passion for medicine and was an Emergency Medical Technician, and owned his ambulance company in Brooklyn, NY. He would eventually retire, but not one to sit still, drove a taxi. In 2020, after his beloved Elvira's death, he moved to Orlando, FL. He loved the warm Florida weather, the amusement parks and riding his scooter around the Avalon Park neighborhood.
Fernando came from Peru to New York City to live the American dream; he was always known for his big heart. It is perhaps the hope that Lady Liberty provides in the harbors of New York City, that inspired him to help others that came to America. Fernando was always the first to help others and well known for opening his home to others and helping them with advice, clothing, and shelter. His big heart and smile will be dearly missed.
He leaves behind his son Fernando S.M. Bobbio, daughter in law Vicki Brown Bobbio and granddaughters Megan and Samantha; daughter Bonita Bobbio Grega, son in law Douglas Grega and grandson Brandon; daughter Elizabeth Bobbio, son in law Miguel Quiles and grandsons Julian and Joshua; siblings Guillermo Bobbio, Nelly Bobbio Tenicela, Manuel Bobbio, Jaime Bobbio, Mora Bobbio Salazar, Blanca Bobbio Donahue, and Alfredo Bobbio; as well as many nieces and nephews.
