Floyd M. Williams, 89, of Orlando, Florida went to his heavenly home on November 12, 2015
Floyd is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty J. Williams, sons Ronald Broome and Larry Broome, daughters Deborah (Debi) Whisenant, Donna Wolters, and Darlene Adams, eight loving grandchildren, 20 great grand-children, and brother Robert Williams. Floyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all.
Floyd moved to Orlando in 1949 and worked at Central Truck Lines for 33 years prior to retiring in 1988. He was a World War II veteran. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, hunting and traveling but most of all loved to spend time with his family. Floyd befriended everyone and according to him never met a stranger. He was a man that his family and friends could always count on. His generosity was limitless to those he loved; he would literally give you the shirt off his back. His unwavering patience was demonstrated in his ability to walk around whistling while everyone else was swinging from the rafters.
Until we see him again, we will envision him walking the golden streets of heaven with his hands in his pockets, jingling his change, and whistling his favorite tune.
Visitation will be Monday, November 16, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida. Funeral services for Floyd will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00. Floyd will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Park 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Florida.
