Forrest J. Mitchell, age 71, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at his home in Orlando.
He was born on January 27, 1952 at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma, son to his late parents, George and Bessie (Place) Mitchell.
He was a graduate of Monte Verde Academy, class of 1970. Later he served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Forrestal.
On May 14, 1988, he was married to the former Janet Raver.
Forrest was the president and owner of Insulated Structures until he retired in 2022.
Besides his loving wife of 35 years, Janet Mitchell, Forrest is survived by his two stepchildren, Bo Jarrett Bingham, and Jessica M. Bingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin siblings, sister, Donna Sacco, and brother, Donald Mitchell.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 18th from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the VFW Post 4287 located at 3500 South Goldenrod Road Orlando, FL 32822.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Forrest's memory to the animal rescue or shelter of your choice, or the family will accept donations of plants to be sent to their residence.
