Frances Ernestine Clark Mooring of Orlando, Florida departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. She was born September 15, 1951, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late Larnzie and Annie Y. Clark of Cascade, Virginia.
Ernestine, as she was affectionately known by family and close friends, was naturally artistic and spent much of her youth drawing and painting. After graduating from Southside High School in Blairs, VA, in 1969, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Fine Art from Virginia State College where she was a soror of Sigma Gamma Rho.
Her professional career spanned several decades, and she held roles over the years at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Inc., West Corporation, and the Girls Scouts of America. After 15 years of dedicated service, Frances retired from AT&T in Orlando, FL.
Frances was proud of her family and raised two daughters, Nicole R. Shinn (Thaddeus) of Apopka, FL and Arusi M. Couser (Curtis) of Portland, OR whom she shared with her former spouse, Wayne Mooring of Burtonsville, MD. She enjoyed traveling with her daughters and appreciated the time spent with her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory; two children, Nicole R. Shinn (Thaddeus) of Apopka, FL and Arusi M. Couser (Curtis) of Portland, OR, five grandchildren Justan Shinn of Tallahassee, FL, Camryn Shinn of Miami, FL, Curtis "Jacob" Couser, Kailey Couser and Courtney Couser of Portland, OR.
Three brothers, Randolph I. Clark, Jerry L. Clark, and Richard C. Clark (Mi Suk) all of Richmond, VA, and one sister, Mildred C. Hill (Clifford) of Ocoee, FL. Four Aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
