Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Francis Marti, quien partió en paz el 12 de Septiembre de 2024, a la edad de 89 años. Nacida en Bayamón, Puerto Rico, el 11 de Marzo de 1935, Francis se mudó a Nueva York con su familia a la temprana edad de cuatro años. Allí conoció al amor de su vida, José Luis Marti, con quien contrajo matrimonio el 30 de Abril de 1955. Juntos formaron una hermosa familia con sus dos hijos, José y Martha.
Francis dedicó 30 años de su vida profesional al mundo de la belleza, trabajando como cosmetóloga para Max Factor, en donde posteriormente continuó su carrera en Procter & Gamble. Su talento y dedicación dejaron una huella imborrable en quienes la conocieron, y fue muy querida por sus colegas y clientes.
Además de su carrera, Francis trabajó en cuatro bases navales en Puerto Rico, lo que le permitió servir a su comunidad y a su país de una manera única.
Amante de los viajes y de la aventura, Francis recorrió el mundo, conociendo diversos lugares. Fiel a su último deseo, no será transportada en avión, sino que será sepultada en Orlando, Florida.
Le sobreviven su hijo José, su hija Martha, sus cinco nietos y siete bisnietos, quienes continuarán su legado de amor, fortaleza y gracia.
Su memoria será atesorada, y será profundamente extrañada por su familia y por todos aquellos que la conocieron. Que descanse en paz eterna.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Marti, who passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, on March 11, 1935, Francis moved to New York with her family at the tender age of four, where she would later meet the love of her life, José Luis Marti. They were married on April 30, 1955, and together they raised two children, José and Martha.
Francis dedicated 30 years of her professional life to the world of beauty, working as a cosmetologist for Max Factor, a career that would eventually see her transition to Procter & Gamble. Her artistry and expertise left a lasting impact on those who knew her, and she was beloved by her colleagues and clients alike.
In addition to her career, Francis also worked across four U.S. Naval bases in Puerto Rico, providing her with a unique opportunity to serve her community and country.
Francis was an adventurer at heart. She traveled extensively, exploring the far reaches of the globe. True to her final wish, she will not be flown, but will be laid to rest in Orlando, Florida.
She is survived by her son José, daughter Martha, her five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love, strength, and grace.
Her memory will be cherished, and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
