FRANCIS "FRANK" MORELLO JR.
July 18th 1939 - March 12th 2024
Frank Morello Jr., widower, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 12th 2024. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Born in New York, NY, he relocated at an early age to Connecticut growing up with the love of playing trumpet, long range target shooting and firearms, car mechanics, and along with his family, a deep love of the ocean and boating, which continued after his move to the Orlando, Florida area in the early 1980's. With his love for boats and law enforcement, he served his military obligation in the USCG, followed by serving for the Wethersfield Connecticut Police Department.
He made his career in software programming, retiring from both AT&T and IBM. He was also a faithful believer in Freemasonry, and was a Past Master of the Sequin-Lodge in Newington, Connecticut.
His final wishes were granted, which was to occupy his house he lived in for over 40 years along with his wife, Donna, and his ashes to be scattered along with hers, just as she wanted, offshore bordering Caladesi Island - her favorite spot in the world.
He is survived by sister, Claire Hoagland; son Frank Morello, III; daughter Lisa Griner; daughter-in-law, Ana Melania Ruiz; granddaughter, Madison Buttice; grandson Zachary Griner; granddaughter, Alexis Griner; granddaughter Haley Griner; grandson, Mason Morello; granddaughter, Heidi Griner; granddaughter, Arianny Ruiz; and great-grandsons, Tatum and River Buttice.
Both his brother-in-law, William Hoagland, deceased December 16th, 2021, and Tonya Buttice are recognized for their long standing support and life long friendship.
