It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Donald Miller, 76, who passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2025 at his residence in Orlando, Florida. Gary was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. A man of many talents and interests, Gary made friends wherever he went.
Gary was born on February 7, 1949 in Lima, Ohio to Donald Miller and Helen Ford. After graduating from Lima Senior High School, Gary went on to attend The Ohio State University before enlisting in the United States Navy. After retiring from Lockheed Martin, Gary found himself working at The Home Depot where he could indulge in his love of tools. Gary never missed a sale and was a firm believer in having more than one of everything so that he would always have an extra to lend.
Gary could frequently be found volunteering his time and visiting with friends at either the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3496 or the VFW Post 4287. Gary never missed an Ohio State game or an episode of NCIS. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching his beloved Buckeyes, woodworking, and playing darts. Most of all, Gary was known for his huge heart and passion for helping others.
Gary is survived by his spouse of 20 years Carol, his four children Holly (Matt), Travis, Misty, and April (Mike), and his two grandchildren Danielle and Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Greg, and his sister Barb.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will take place on April 19, 2025 starting at 2pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3496 located at 1900 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, Florida 32822. Come prepared to share your favorite Gary stories.
