Gaston Delgado was born on December 20, 1962, in Remedios, Cuba. He peacefully passed away on July 14, 2024, in Orlando, FL.
Gaston moved to the U.S. with his family in 1970. They lived in New Jersey and Miami before permanently settling in Orlando.
As a child, Gaston loved to draw. After high school Gaston worked at Disney World as a caricature artist. Gaston's love for auto mechanics started while working in his father's automotive shop. He was a certified auto mechanic. He worked at General, Alamo, and National Rental Cars. He also worked fleet maintenance at Coca-Cola Industries before he became medically disabled.
Gaston was an avid model car collector. He loved watching movies, especially sci-fi, and amassed a large collection. Gaston liked playing dominoes. He enjoyed acquiring tools and working on cars. He delighted in boating, fishing, and jet-skiing. Gaston's favorite foods consisted of seafood, Coca-Cola and ice cream. He enjoyed spending family vacations at Anna Marie Island. Gaston leisurely worked in his garden and spent time with his daughter.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie, his sons, Gaston and Jonathan, his daughter, Lauren, his brother, Rolando Delgado, his sisters Theresa Cardenas, Esmeralda Delgado, and Mayte Llabres, his nephews Rolando Delgado Jr., Jessie Delgado, and Alex Costa, his nieces, Mayra Cruz, Jenny Hernandez, Emy Delgado, Kasandra Barrial, Marlene Delgado, and Yailin Costa.
Gaston is preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Delgado, his mother, Maria Delgado, and his sister, Mayra Delgado.
Gaston will be deeply missed. His dry humor and laugh, his devotion to his family, and his willingness to lend a hand will be remembered by all.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando.
Viewing and visitation will precede the service on Wednesday, July 24 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens, Orange City, FL.
